Each month, LifeCenter Northwest selects a Lifesaver Award winner. This award honors and recognizes those who demonstrate a commitment to improving donation outcomes and culture through their actions, time, and energy. We are proud to announce Heather Murray, RN, Medical ICU at Providence Regional Medical Center-Everett as our February LifeSaver Award winner.

Heather has worked closely with LifeCenter Northwest on many donation cases, but one recent case exhibits her commitment to donation and dedication to going above and beyond to produce successful outcomes. After already working multiple days with our staff on an organ donor case, Heather stayed four extra hours after her shift ended to help with continuous renal replacement therapy in order for the patient to have the opportunity to donate their lungs. Not only was this helpful to the LifeCenter Northwest team, but also prevented a night shift nurse from having to dividing time to work one on one with the patient. Although the lungs were declined by all the transplant center, the hard work and selfless dedicated Heather put in to help our team, and hers was incredible.

In addition to this particular case, Heather has consistently proven herself as a donation leaders at Providence Everett. Her positive attitude, work ethic, and desire to help in any way she can to make donation possible is in true support of our mission of working together to save lives through organ and tissue donation.

Thank you for your continued hard work!
