More than 110,000 people in the United States are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant—including over 1,600 of our Northwest neighbors. Every 12 minutes, a new person is added to that list.
LifeCenter Northwest works with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to coordinate the complex process of organ transplantation, to ensure that organs are matched and placed as efficiently as possible. UNOS maintains a centralized, 24/7 computer network that links all transplant centers and organ procurement organizations, such as LifeCenter Northwest.
