What we do for hospitals

Every hospital across Alaska , Montana, North Idaho, and Washington has a dedicated Hospital Development Specialist from LifeCenter Northwest. That specialist works to be a respectful, collaborative member of your team.

We help hospitals with continued education on the donation process, donation protocol updates, assistance or guidance during a donation case, and general questions regarding donation in your hospital.

LifeCenter Northwest wants hospital administration and staff to feel like they have the necessary tools to understand the donation process, so they can be advocates for donation within their teams—and help us all achieve our shared goal of saving more lives.

See our list of Hospital Development Specialists to find the dedicated staff person for your hospital. Below are some of the services we can offer you:

  • Ongoing education for staff, with both general and technical information about the donation process
  • Support at bedside for staff and families, including emotional support for staff
  • Access to donation experts
  • Consultation on regulatory compliance, including guidelines for adhering to The Joint Commission, CMS
  • Support for creating more timely referrals
  • Case debriefings and follow-up
  • The LifeCenter Northwest Donor Council, a multidisciplinary team of hospital and donation agencies working to improve processes and create a positive culture for donation
  • Help making connections with your community around donation
  • Bringing back stories of donors and recipients, to demonstrate results and close the loop
