LifeCenter Northwest facilitates the donation process from initial consent through organ and tissue recovery for transplantation.

Following is a brief description of the services LifeCenter Northwest provides:

Organ Recovery Services:

• On-site referral response to hospitals.
• Evaluation of patient’s medical suitability for donation.
• Management of the patient’s care through the allocation and recovery of organs.
• Placement of organs, working with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).
• Coordination of transplant teams’ transportation and arrival at donor hospital.
• Surgical recovery and transportation of organs.

Tissue Recovery Services: 

• Telephone referral response to hospitals.
• Evaluation of patient's medical suitability for donation. 
• Surgical recovery and transportation of tissues. 

Hospital Services:

• Development of strong relationships between hospitals and LifeCenter Northwest.
• Supporting hospitals in being compliant with federal regulations and state laws.
• Ongoing education of hospital staff on donation laws and programs.
• Support of donor families throughout the donation process.
