HHS Medal of Honor
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) have awarded hospitals with the prestigious HHS Medal of Honor. This award was given to a small number of hospitals nationwide. It recognizes hospitals for working collaboratively with their Organ Procurement Organizations to achieve organ donation rates of 75% or higher in a 12 month period.

• St. Vincent Healthcare

Organ Donation Hospital Excellence Award
LifeCenter Northwest presents this award every year to a single hospital that has shown organ donation is a top priority and has performed at a high level. It is awarded to those hospitals that create a culture of providing families the chance to say “yes” to organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Organ Donation Individual Excellence Award
LifeCenter Northwest presents this award every year to an individual who has gone beyond their daily responsibilities to contribute to a hospital’s organ donation programs. This person serves a leader and a resource to their peers working to ensure that donor wishes are carried out to the greatest capacity.
