Our Values
These values guide our interactions with all of our individual and organizational stakeholders, including but not limited to: donors and donor families, donor hospitals, transplant centers, candidates for transplantation, the general public, governmental agencies, religious organizations, the media, other recovery agencies, those who provide services to LifeCenter Northwest, and of course LifeCenter Northwest itself. These values will serve as a compass to guide our behaviors and practices with virtually any individual or organization with whom we interact as we carry out our mission.
Respect
We will treat all whom we encounter with respect, and value them for their unique contributions, both within LCNW, and outside of LCNW. We will be open, non-judgmental, and non-defensive in our interactions, and we will seek first to understand others and their points of view, as the foundation for moving forward together.
Compassion
We will show compassion in all of our interactions and activities. We will be kind and considerate of others, and treat them as we would want to be treated.
Collaboration
We will seek to collaborate and partner with others at every opportunity, in ways that generate optimal outcomes for all involved. This will include opportunities for collaboration within LCNW, between and among all departments, as well as collaboration with all external stakeholders. We will be open to exploring new partnerships, to inviting others to join in our efforts, and to offer to help others in ways that achieve benefits for all.
Integrity/Honesty
We will adhere to the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and transparency in all of our interactions. We will speak truthfully and always be reliable.
Ethical Practice
We will always act in an ethical manner, no matter the circumstances. When we encounter unethical behavior, we will address it appropriately and promptly. We will be fair and just in all of our work activities and professional interactions.
Courageous Leadership
We will focus on the main thing and be courageous in our leadership in words and actions. We will always make decisions that support our mission and those we serve. We will show others that we are flexible and open to change, innovate, and grow as an organization in order to achieve our goals.
Accountability
We will hold ourselves fully accountable to carry out our mission, and we will provide open and honest feedback to one another. We will be mindful of how we are perceived by others to ensure effective interactions. We will deliver on our commitments in a timely manner.
Stewardship
We will uphold our obligation as stewards of the public trust and appropriately manage the resources provided to us to accomplish our goals. We will make sound financial decisions, seek to operate as efficiently as possible in all areas, and eliminate redundancy and inefficiency wherever possible.
Service Orientation
We will always remember that we are here to serve others, above all else. As employees and Board members of LCNW, we are granted the privilege of helping others through organ and tissue donation and transplantation, and we will always behave in a manner consistent with our mission.
