At LifeCenter Northwest, collaborating with local hospitals, medical centers and medical professionals is an essential part of fulfilling our mission of working together to save lives through organ and tissue donation. We established the LifeCenter Northwest LifeSaver Award, presented monthly, to honor those who demonstrate a commitment to improving donation outcomes and/or culture through their actions, time, and energy. We are proud to announce our January LifeSaver Award winner, Gil Gonzales, Swedish Cherry Hill.

Gil Gonzales is the Nurse Manager of the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) and Cherry Hill Float Pool Teams. While Gil has not been in his position long, he has embraced the tremendous impact of donation and helped to foster a positive donation culture on the unit. Gil and his team recognize the importance of honoring the patients decision to donate and ensures every family has the opportunity to make a decision regarding donation.

Gil has personally supported the LCNW staff in family donation conversations, reassuring families of the positive impact of donation, and the compassionate care they will receive throughout the process. He is an example of how a collaborative approach can ensure families are offered comfort and hope through organ and tissue donation.
